Accessibility statement
Reframe is committed to creating and maintaining a digitally accessible environment, and we are currently on our journey towards a more accessible brand, website and digital products. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG) at Level AA. These guidelines outline three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Currently, Reframe meets Level AA partially, which is considered to provide substantial accessibility support. Partial conformance indicates that some content sections do not fully meet the accessibility standards.
What we are doing to support accessibility
We have made several updates to advance our progress:
- Implementing clear, straightforward, and inclusive language throughout our content
- Utilizing descriptive page titles and distinct title attributes
- Minimizing our download sizes
- Using a href instead of on click events wherever possible
- Designating buttons and roles as buttons in code for screen reader compatibility
- Refraining from using the autofocus attribute and incorporating visible focus indicators
- Incorporating labels, field sets, error notifications, and warning alerts into all forms
- Enhancing key interactive elements (like buttons and links) to be easily usable with different finger sizes, styluses, and similar devices
- Conducting both automated and manual evaluations to identify accessibility issues
Known limitations
We acknowledge that there is still a considerable amount of work to be done, and we are dedicated to accomplishing it. Our roadmap encompasses all current and identified tasks, yet we recognize certain limitations that we are prioritizing to resolve. We are addressing these matters internally and have collaborated with external partners to implement solutions.
- Offering alternative text descriptions for all essential non-text elements
- Organizing headings to create a logical sequence and structure
- Developing a colour palette with high contrast values
- Ensuring magnified and zoomed displays are supported accurately
- Adding skip links and improving tab navigation
- Providing captions for videos that are essential for use or content
- Evaluating interactive components to replace, offer alternatives, or minimize usage
- Resolving issues with assistive technology tools
