I qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1995 and my experience has mainly been in cancer but not always clinical.  I have been a chemotherapy sister and worked in palliative care.

I have worked in Cancer Service Improvement which gave me a vast understanding of various cancer pathways and how they could be improved to ensure speedy diagnostics and treatments. My experience in palliative care allowed me to look after patients and families at the end of life in their homes which was a humbling experience. 

 

I was a Cancer Services Manager for a busy NHS Trust and then returned to clinical work as a Macmillan Haematology Clinical Nurse Specialist. I also currently work as an Oncology Advance Nurse Practitioner on the bank for my local hospital.

Cancer has always been an interest of mine from my student nursing days. 

In my spare time I love to watch horror movies and read horror and suspense books, I have also been ghost hunting a few time. I love to bake and walk my dog.
