Port of London Authority’s 460 employees can benefit from comprehensive cancer support
Reframe has partnered with the Port of London Authority (PLA), to offer its 460 employees comprehensive cancer support as a new employee benefit.
The PLA is responsible for the UK’s largest port and works to protect and improve the tidal Thames – 95 miles of river from Teddington Lock to the North Sea. As a trust port, the PLA has no shareholders and reinvests any financial surplus back into the river’s infrastructure, environment and communities.
The new partnership with Reframe Cancer reflects an increasing commitment across all sectors to offer employees cancer support, particularly in light of the growing concern of cancer amongst working age people, and its impact on employees and the workplace.
Reframe Cancer offers a variety of services to meet the individual needs of cancer patients and their loved ones. These services include:
- Expert advice and support: A dedicated cancer nurse specialists to provide information, guidance, and emotional support throughout the cancer journey.
- Practical support: Reframe Cancer also offers a cancer support manager to help with chase appointments, help with transportation to appointments or return to work planning.
- Extensive online resources: Access to a wide range of informative materials on cancer awareness and preventative measures.
Karen Fuller, Director of Human Resources, Port of London Authority commented: “Any cancer diagnosis is disorientating, emotional and stressful, which is why we are pleased to offer all our colleagues at the PLA expert support through ReFrame Cancer – and not just for our staff, but also for a chosen family member or friend.
