The best thing about my job is talking to my clients - I enjoy making a difference to someone’s day. I like being there for them, whether they want help with their upcoming treatment or appointments, or they just want to tell me how their day is. I often have clients who just want someone to talk to honestly and openly about cancer – who won’t get emotional like a loved one could. 

Cancer doesn’t just affect you physically, it can impact many aspects of life. I help people benefit from support they didn’t know they were entitled to which can have a positive impact on their mental wellbeing.  

I have helped arrange a second opinion for a client which resulted in their treatment plan being altered to their preferred course of treatment. This brought their treatment to a successful end, much quicker. I also chase results and appointments – in busy hospitals, things can slip through the net. A little nudge from us can make a big difference on how quickly you hear from your hospital team. 

In my spare time I enjoy walking my German Shepherd (or her walking me should I say!), exploring new restaurants with friends, and taking trips with my fiancé.
